(OLD) GBS 2016 – Message From Dr. Eke

Fourteen Penn Engineering students are about to embark on a journey of a life time to Hong Kong and China for the Global Biomedical Service (GBS) program implementation. We will collaborate with our partners at Hong Kong Polytechnic University to measure, build, and fit children in need of prosthetics and orthotics.

As the team leader and mentor to the group, I’d like to welcome you to this amazing experience through this blog page. We will chronicle our experiences and share what we’ve learned with you.

I’d like to especially thank our professor Dr. Dan Bogen, SEAS Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education, Dr. Russ Composto, and student leaders Henok Abraham and Natalie Melo.

Please check back for day one/first episode.

Sincerely,

Dr. Ocek Eke, Director for Global and Local Service Learning Programs, SEAS.
